I’ve lived in big cities my entire life where anywhere I need to go is reachable on public transport, or by using my own two feet. Moving to the Middle East, where car is king, has been quite the shock to the system, and I long for the days where getting 20,000 steps in was perfectly normal (as does my waistline). Enter: Msheireb Downtown Doha. The regeneration project has transformed the area into a walkers dream, and we’re big fans of the tram, too. This month, we’ve decided to share our enthusiasm by giving you the lowdown on what’s going on downtown, from things to do to where to eat. Don’t worry, though, as we’ve still got ideas for what to do elsewhere with the city’s most unique dining experiences and the very best burgers around. So go on, grab your walking shoes and embrace that car-free lifestyle, even if it is only for an afternoon. Who knows, maybe you’ll love it as much as I do. JOIN THE CONVERSATION SHARE YOUR SNAPS!
